OK -- I am less than 30 days away and I am starting to think about what to pack for the 3 day cruise portion of our trip. Do I need ties and jackets for dinner each nite. I really hope not. I wear a tie/jacket every day for work and was really looking forward to relaxing with a something less formal.. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.

My bf wore comfortable dress pants with button down collered shirts 2 nights (when I say button down collared, I don't mean a shirt you'd wear with a tie, one was patterned & one was baby blue they are tailored & fitted, so worn untucked) the night we went to Palo he wore dress pants, a (french cuffed) shirt & tie. (he's what you call metro-sexual... ever hear that? He has the fashion sense of a girl but he's straight. :D ) so he loved wearing his matching burberry tie & cufflinks the one night! I think he could have gotten away with a nice polo shirt in AP & maybe Tritons too. We were perfectly dressed eveywear we went! There are people dressed from every end od the spectrum so it's hard to feel out of place. Though I have to admit that I was a bit put off by a few people that were REALLY underdressed. I mean, tee shirts & shorts, in Triton one night there was a man in a baseball cap. Pretty much think what you'd wear on a fri night out to a nice restaurant & you'll be fine!

My DH wore short sleeved, button down shirts everynight for dinner and dress pants. He fit right in with the rest of the guys. We saw a few men not dressed up, (in shorts) but they were certainly the minority. No jacket or tie required unless you go to Palo. Some guys wore jackets and a button down shirt in Tritons.

I wore a suit and tie in Triton's and I think there was only one other guy who did so on our night there. I won't pack the suit for the next trip. I think "business casual" works quite well. for the dinners on the 3/4 night cruises.

You don't need a tie/jacket at all unless you plan on visiting Palo one of those nights. Otherwise, just Khaki's and a polo shirt for the dining room every night would be great.

My husband and 2 teen DSs wore khaki pants and collared "golf" type polo shirts. I was not about to pack 3 suits or even 3 sport jackets for our 3 night cruise for them to wear at dinner! They looked great, and blended in perfectly, even in Tritons. (We did not eat in Palo - I would have packed a suit for my DH had we planned to eat there.)
Honestly, I would not worry too much about this - I saw people dressed in every manner you could imagine, altho the majority were dressed as we were. No one paid much attention to even those wearing shorts! :yo-yo:

We were on the 3-day and DH wore khaki dress pants, an oxford shirt and jacket to our dinner at Palo (no tie). He was dressed fine. The other 2 dinners, he wore khaki type pants and either a collared golf shirt or collared short sleeve cotton or linen shirt.
