what to tip movers???

weird situation happened. there was a mix-up with their offices so not only is the driver/helper packing, but a different team of 5 guys showed up, too. Yep, I've got 7 people packing my house right now. I don't know what to tip the 5 guys who showed up. the other 2 we will tip at the end of the move, but the other 5 are just here today.

what sounds right here?

Does $20 each sound reasonable? I think that that's what we tipped our 1-day movers, plus extra for the driver.

We were moved twice through relocation packages with my dh's work. Each time (both at packing and unloading) we had different crews of people show up. I didn't tip anyone, but did feed them lunch. Sorry if that doesn't help.

I have never tipped movers/packers, sorry. Our last corporate move was over $10,000. The packing guys in our town make $20/hour, that is plenty for what they do.

We never tip movers, but we do buy them lunch.

We have never tipped either, but have always made sure they were well fed and had a cooler full of soda/gatorade/water available.

We've moved lots of times and this is what we do too. We've never tipped.
