What to tell a friend who's going for the first time.

Well , it's not exactly her first time but she is 13 now and hasn't been there since she was 4, and she wants all the tips she can get, and i have a bit of a mind block as it has been a while since my first trip. Any tips ?

It's been a long time since I've been 13, but if she likes thrill rides she should definitely know how to use fast pass. Since it's been 9 years, she should check out a web site or book so she will know what kinds of things Disney has added and what she wants to do in advance. Then she won't have regrets about something she missed out on.
Also, when I was a teen I used to bring a hat with me so I didn't have to spend so much time on my hair.

Take 2 or 3 pair of shoes and wear different ones each day. Also, wear sunscreen.

I agree, tell her to read as much as she possibly can. When I went last summer, after a 6 year break from the world, I went to my my local library and book stores and took out a bunch of books and articles. I was amazed at how much the world changed over the 6 years and I'm even mored amazed and how many things have been added and taken away since my trip 4 months ago. I feel like I should start reading up on the world again for my trip this coming November
