What to take to the parks?

We usually go with kids so we have a stroller to hold a soft cooler with water, baby wipes for cleaning hands, autograph book and pen, snacks, and rain jackets. I usually carry a small wallet type purse with my ID and insurance cards (in case of emergency) and a little cash. This year, my husband and I are going alone for our 10 yr anniversary. Can we make it with just our magic bands? Do we need the rest? Can we charge everything to our rooms even food at quick service restaurants? What do you haul in the parks without kids?

I always have an ID, a credit card, and $20 in cash. Magic bands fail and emergencies happen.

Do you have memory maker? If not, camera or use your phone for pictures. I bring a small purse.. Just the FL basics (poncho), ID, $ and that's about it

My list:
- Camera bag
- Camera with basic zoom and fast normal lenses
- Camera strap, extra media and batteries, SB-400 speedlight
- Lightweight jacket (doubles as a light raincoat)
- $100 cash
- Magicband/park admission media/Hotel keys
- ID and Credit Card
- Water bottle
- Extra pair of socks in a Ziploc bag
- Small tube of sunscreen
- Cell phone
- Mophie
- Aspirin, Benadryl and Advil single dose packs (buy in bulk at Amazon)

It all fits into a small camera shoulder bag. If I were doing it sans camera, I could get away with a pair of cargo shorts. :)

I have my phone, a little cash, my ID, a CC and usually either a poncho or umbrella. I've yet to go to DW when it didn't rain at least once so I've learned to just take something for the rain. I tend to wear sundresses, which don't have pockets so I have to carry a small cross body bag of some sort. I have to use reading glasses, can't even see price tags without them so I wear them around my neck on a MM necklace and switch them with my sunglasses when inside. I also always have a hat, am very sun sensitive but it's usually a cap that I can hook around my bag while on rides. If I'm wearing shorts, I try to wear cargo shorts but have had a real problem in the last few years actually finding women's that the cargo pocket is actually big enough to put a poncho in, I used to be able to wear little boys but have gotten a little to hippy for that the past few years.

Spare band-aids and bandages. You will need them, especially if you're like me and are prone to blisters. And everything else that others have mentioned. I use a backpack so I can be hands-free.

Disney to me is like going somewhere with a baby. You pack a bag with everything you think you *might* need, and find that you usually do.

Yep, read a post where folks were at a restaurant at WDW and somehow people's dining plan credits weren't showing up. People were asked to pay for their meals with either cash or credit card, and get reimbursed later. Lots of folks don't carry either when using Magic Bands, so it really caused a problem. Always a good idea to have a back-up plan.

Plus you should always carry your ID and insurance card on you. You just never know!

DH had cargo pants and managed to fit:

2 cell phones
2 sunglasses (during rides)
Sunscreen
Credit card, ID and cash in ziploc
Car keys
Small battery charger

Downside was no ponchos for the couple of downpours we had but it was nice skipping the bag check

My preference is to bring as little as possible, because I don't like lugging a bag around. We use drinking fountains instead of water bottles (and also most food counters will give you a free cup of ice), use memory maker or take pics with phones, use paper towels and water if we have some sort of messy spill, and, if we end up needing a bandaid, go to one of the first aid stations. I usually just have sunglasses on my face and a back up credit card and phone in my pocket. And one of us carries a little bottle of sunscreen on a carabiner on our belt loop. My youngest child is 9 though, so that makes it easier to get by with less.
