HI DIS friends,

My DS 9 has a follow-up appt with CHOP at the King of Prussia near the mall in a couple of weeks.

Since I used to live in that area I would love to revisit the country's second biggest mall and bring back memories. I last been there about 8 years ago.

So I'm sure much as change..and I checked out the website.

So far, I'm planning on taking my kids through Neiman and Marcus and show then how much their shoes are...I remember the average price tag was $600 a pair!!!!!!

Then takinig my DD to Club Libby LU and lunch at the Morton's steakhouse.

Anyone who lives nearby give any other points of interest to see?? Something for the kids or us moms??

Thanks so much!

I live right near KOP. You also need to get a piece of Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory - to die for.

Libby Lu is an awesome idea. They also have Build-a-Bear-Workshop right near it. The mall is split into two different malls but very close to each other- just a short outdoor walkway .

I'd plan on some summer clothes shopping too. They have a ton of stores - plan lots of time and have fun.

Outside the mall, there is a Bahamas Breeze. I know some people like to go there when they are in Orlando--So it might give you a "Florida Fix" ;)

Just stay away from The Fox and Hound restaurant outside the mall--Ugh. Food was gross, service was awful.

Inside the mall, as strange as this seems, check out Sears. They ALWAYS have Lands' End on MEGA clearance at the King of Prussia Sears. Weird. :confused3

LOL... I like Fox and Hound. And I think Bahama Breeze has gone downhill. I used to love it and now I don't.

Jeeze, if we were better friends ya could come to my house for BBQ... I'm just 8 minutes away. :thumbsup2

It's a huge "mall" so it just has more "mall" type things to do. The attached "Court at King of Prussia" might still have a Disney Store on the 2nd floor.

You might want to check Mortons... I don't think they are open for lunch.

Build a Bear and Libby Lu are great ideas. Valley Forge National Park is just a few minutes away.

There is also a Nordstrom Rack right near Bahama Breeze. Not great for the kids... but great for the adults!!!! I love that store. There is also a movie theatre right there is you are looking to pass some more time.

If your kids are at all into skateboarding there was a half pipe in the Vans store last time we were there. You could pay for a 1/2 hour and use their boards and safety equipment. My son had a ball. That was about 3 years ago though.

If you like Bare Minerals, they have one of their boutiques there!! :thumbsup2

There used to be a Yankee Candle store there :thumbsup2 Not sure if it still is.

There is but it is now in the "Court", not the "Plaza" if that makes sense.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Yes, this mall has changed from the last time I've been there.

I've written down your suggestions and we're all looking forward to going there!!

OT:
Valley Forge National Park is just a few minutes away.
Right now, DS12 is headed to Valley Forge with about a dozen other teenage boys for a Scout bike hike at the park.
Warning to those in the area-avoid Miller's Smorgsborg (sp?) this evening - all those scouts are headed there & fully intend to eat their money's worth. They actually choose Valley Forge because Miller's is on the way home.
