Shame on me I should have known better, but I bought a lot of 25 pins off of a seller that I thought looked legit and they were all just bad replicas.

I sent the seller a message saying that I would be embarrassed to attempt to trade the pins at the parks because they not authentic pins. That was 48 hours ago and I still have yet to receive a message back from him. I also told him that I would send the pins back to him if he would refund my money.

How long should I wait before filing my Paypal claim and reporting the seller to Ebay?

Thanks!

You should check the auction details and make sure the seller will refund your money. Many have no returns/refunds listed on their auctions. Good luck.

His says that he will not accept returns however he did not sell me authentic pins which he claimed in his auction. I am pretty sure that I have recourse

I would file Paypal Claim (Item not as described ), they will decide in your favor if you return with tracking which is very important. I would also let seller know that you are filing claim. It might take some time but you wont be out the money. China is making lots of junk and sometimes the seller's dont khow what they have. A seller can state No returns, but Ebay enforces Buyer Protection strongly..

We have had good luck taking action through Ebay. In both cases that we have taken the seller had a no refund policy, but we received a full refund. Ebay has pretty strict rules for sellers and will take away their selling privilege if there are enough complaints against them.

eBay is incredibly buyer-friendly (too much so IMO). If you file a claim and act like an adult (as in no name calling to the seller in messages, etc), eBay will more than likely rule in your favor.

Well the seller finally responded and has offered to give me my money back. He says that he got them at Disney and they are 100% authentic. There is no way. I told him if he got them direct from Disney then he needs to take them back and get a refund. So alls well that ends well....for now

That doesn't even matter when filing a paypal claim, you can always return the item you just have to pay return shipping
