Ugh-I need to make a major decision ;) I just finished The Paper Palace this evening. I really enjoyed it and had a strong connection to the setting. The big question is, now what? I have a coast to coast flight this weekend and want to have a good book in place for the trip. Any suggestions?

I’m reading the latest Will Trent novel - I reread all the previous books just to refresh before starting. I also have my book club’s latest ready to go - Darling Girls by Sally Hepworth, so far all the other people are enjoying it.

A Prayer for Owen Meany - John Irving

It's thick but it's one of the best novels ever, IMHO.

Do you like Stephen King ? His Bill Hodges Holly series are good reads and all his books are rather long

I am in the middle of The Women by Kristin Hannah. It kept me up way too late last night.

Second to The Women. Also just finished James. Anything by Marie Benedict, The Magnolia Palace

I just picked up a book call Obitchuary The Big Hot Book of Death and it looks like a fun read - going to get into it this evening myself. It's only 224 pages though, so it may not be long enough for a long flight.

2 books I like to re-read every few years are the autobiography of Queen Noor and The Stand by S. King.

The next few books I have on my list to read are:
The God of the Woods
The Guernsey Literary Potato Peel Pie Society (I understand this is a particularly good book)
Black Cake
The Nazi's Knew My Name

I'm not one to read fantasy at all, but I love a book with a great sense of place. I could not put down Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. I'm talking stay up until 3 when you have to be up by 6 could not put down book.
Maybe I'll read this then. I'm not into the fantasy stuff much either so I keep "not" checking it out despite the reviews.

This is my No1 all time favourite book. I first read it when I was 19, I’m now 54 and have read it over and over - still cry every single time. So beautifully written.

Some of my favorites:

I am Pilgrim and Year of the Locust by Terry Hayes
Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone and Everyone on This Train is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson
The Seven and a Half Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
The Housemaid by Freida McFadden
The Maid (and sequels) by Nita Prose
Under the Dome by Stephen King
