It looks like the weather will be pleasant during our trip 6/6-6/11: high 70s during the day down to high 50s at night. Is the sun usually out in the mornings or has the 'June gloom' already descended? I am assuming it will feel a bit cool at 6:30 in the morning? At this point I am thinking of packing mostly capris, short sleeves, light jacket, a pair of shorts and a pair of pants. I think it will be too cool in the morning and evening to wear shorts?

Just got back I would take long pants and a jacket for night. Some nights are cooler then others so if you need them you have them.

I was thinking the same thing -- capris, T-shirts, and a jacket or fleece for the evenings. We'll be at the GCH, too, during that time, so I've been looking at the weather reports as well. Have a great trip!

Somehow I was assuming that I would only need the warmer clothes for the evening so I had planned on shorts for the kids during the day. Now I'm thinking they will be too cold in shorts in the early morning? My older ds has zip-offs so he should be covered but my 7yo ds doesn't have lightweight pants (couldn't find his size this spring and now only shorts are in the stores!) so I'm not sure what he should wear in the mornings!

I think it depends on the child. My DD is ALWAYS cold (she'll wear fleece at WDW and Hawaii) so I'm taking jeans and capris for her. But I would think lots of kids would be fine in shorts.

I leave Wednesday morning, so I appreciate the tips. I'll probably have a pair of sweats that I can pull on over my shorts should I need them along with a jacket. Better to be safe than sorry.

The packing begins tonight!!

we were just there and even on the cooler mornings we all wore shorts or capris, t-shirts/tanks tops and light jackets. would just take the jackets off when it got warm. I found for the kids that shorts with socks and running shoes they stayed just as warm if they had've been in pants. and then less stuff to bring in the parks if you start off the day in pants and have change to shorts. as long as we had the light jackets we were fine.

We just got back yesterday and we were all fine starting off the day in shorts. The nights are pretty chilly so I would recommend capris and a warm jacket.

How cold does it feel in the evenings? We're from the Chicago area so we are used to cold. I was just planning on bringing light jackets and light pants for evenings. Will we really need fleece?

light jackets and light pants will do

We were at Disney from May 26 - May 30 and the weather was BEAUTIFUL! It was only around 74 but it was just right, like others have said, any warmer and it isn't as enjoyable. Waiting for the parade to start at 3:30 was really hot with the sun beating down on the cement. We packed pants and sweaters and they never left the suitcase. DD (4) & DS (2) both wore shorts to the fireworks and never complained about being cold, with the large crowds it produced alot of warmth. So we wore shorts/capri's the entire time, we did bring light jackets which we wore to the fireworks only.
