I bought a cheap one (Goodmans £30) to go in the conservatory - it is very very flimsy and doesn't always play terribly well. Maybe I was unlucky but I'd go for something a bit better next time.
Where did you buy that from very good price as we already have a home cinema surround system which has a DVD, i want a recorder as i work most evenings and miss programs that i like.
We bought it at www.tesco.com - not sure of the exact price as we bought it with a TV/DVD combo and other things. They currently have one - may be the same - at £34.99. It is a bit temperamental though!
We bought a Pacific one for the second spare room. It cost about £25 and works really well. Also I hacked it which means you can watch Region free DVDs on it.
If it is going to be your main DVD I would say go for amore expensive model. We have a Sony recordable one in the Lounge which cost about £200 and it is fantastic. Also hacked this one too.
Are you talking about DVD Players or DVD Recorders?? If it is recorders as I think, Asda's had a special offer of £69.99 , thats about the cheapest I have seen.
