My ex bf moved out of the country. We still talk, and I want to send him some fun items. Background: he didn't move to the US until he was 18. Lived in Morocco and France prior to that. Lived here 14 years. We didn't date long. I do have a few items that are personal I want to send to him, but he loves to laugh. I want to send him fun things. He says he misses American food.....specifically he wants a big ole cheeseburger but I can't send that. I'm thinking something that is a cheeseburger shape but can't think of anything. Also would love books, poems, clever sayings about the items as I am going to write a little book explaining why I included each item.

So brainstorm me some ideas. I want a fun package for him. I am so not creative like this. Help me make his time away a little easier.

They make burger shaped candy.
kraby pattys are one they also at walgreens have like a pack a food shape gummies

Can you get him a Cheeseburger in Paradise Sweatshirt?

I will get him a little cheeseburger candy. Although no shirt it did make me download Cheeseburger in Paradise for the CD I am making him. it fit perfectly because we live near the Keys. Well I do and he did....LOL. Thanks for the ideas. Anymore??

Any book by A.J. Jacobs. Very funny writer. I'm currently reading his,"The Guinea Pig Diaries, My Life as an Experiment". His books will leave your friend chuckling and saying, "Only in America."

You might want to throw in a bag (or some bags) of Doritos - for some reason, when I ask friends overseas if there's anything they'd like, it's always Doritos!

My Dutch grandmother always asked for sloppy joe mix. There's also taco mix.

1st checked what is allowed to be imported to that country. Some have some local stuff that can't be sent over.Like Germany can't send my friend Jeans.

But after that I would get everything that woudl remind her of home.STuff she loved when she was here.

This was a while ago but we hosted some students from Up With People the girls told us that refrigerator magnets are something revered to be totally American. When we took them shopping they'd stop in all the stores looking at them and buying some fun ones. Also they couldn't get enough Tostitos chips, they filled their carry ons home with them....Do you live in an area that has Tastykakes? They seem to be one of the things people have sent to them.

I know we have missionaries who tell us Oreos and peanut butter are things they really seem to miss too!

Peanut butter & Gatorade powder. Whenever I think of the care packages I've sent overseas, I think of these two items. (Doritos was a third, but that's been said a bunch).
