With the opening of Soarin', will this change what you head towards first in Epcot? I think most people go directly to TT and/or MS now but I'm wondering if this will divide the crowds up a bit and send some towards the Land.

What are you gonna do?

It'll depend on how the lines start to shake out. Mission:Space usually moves pretty well. If Soarin' turns into a "slow line" (like TT), I'll FP Soarin' & ride MS.

I would also like to know for anyone who has ridden Soarin' which is the best row to be on. I've heard that one row raises to 40 feet while the other rows are lower :flower: :flower: :flower:

I've ridden Soarin' in California. The top row is the best because you can't see people's feet hanging down from the rows above. But I can't remember if the top row is #1 or #3 (I'm guessing #1). In Calif. they were very good about letting you request the top row but it might mean you have to wait for the next presentation.

Also its fun to slip your shoes off and fly barefoot! When you "land" your shoes are sitting right where you left them on the floor! Its a great attraction!!!

The top row @ DCA is about 40feet. I would assume that the new one is similar if not identical. Row 1 is the top row. I rode in row 2. The feet above me didn't really bother me at all. A friend of mine who rode in the top row at the same time I was in the second row said that he felt more fear of heights being in the top row mainly because he couldn't see feet. He said he felt very alone in the top row. People who rode in my row and had claimed a fear of heights before said they didn't feel it too much because they could see the other people's feet.

If you want to get closer to the true hanggliding feeling... I would say ride the top row. But, to my knowledge... every row is good and if it turns into a 3-hour wait (like they're predicting)... any row is a good row!!

Other info:
Ride is just over 4 minutes long.
There will be a single-rider line.
Wheelchairs and ECVs will go through the regular queue and transfer @ the loading area.
There is a 40in. height requirement.

Then there's the queue itself. It's beautiful. It's the prettiest airport I've ever been in. :teeth:

And... if DCA is any indication, there may be "Aviatrix" characters.

I'd hit test track first. With rain and break-downs and lines, I'd ride test track first.
Soarin may have lines because it is new, but it doesn't have the issues test track has.
Just my humble opinion.

Great idea unless said people have stinky feet!!!!!

I would think that TT would be the best to hit first since it is so slow loading.

Getting a FP for Test Track is always smart because of the difficulties it usually has. If you like TT and plan on riding it, that's a good bet. TT is my lowest priority though now that Soarin' is there. For me, it's simply not as good a ride as either MS or Soarin'.

It depends on the arrival time, I think. Assuming youy're there at park opening, your best bet is probably to do Future World East (TT and MS) first, then FASTPASS Soarin' while you cover the secondary attractions in FW West, such as Living with the Land, HISTA, etc.

Soarin' will certainly balance out the guest distribution in Future World, which is a good thing for us all.

That's a good point..I think that is what we will do in aug!!!!

Officially? In May for the Happiest Celebration.

ophie's correct. Officially in May, but it looks like soft openings have already happened.

I agree with cmonroe - I think grabbing a ride on or a FP for TT then heading to Soarin is a good idea with all the TT issues.

For preview weekend, I intend to head straight to Soarin tho & hope that they let us ride more than once!

I would go to Soarin' first because when I rode it in DL, the lines were SLOW. Very slow. And packed. The line will probably be the same, if not worse, at WDW because of the bigger crowd and its newer at WDW than DL.

Doesn't that part of the park open at 9:00??? on EMH mornings??? Then at 8 I would do MS, TT and head over to Soarin at 9. On regular mornings, I think it would be best to use one of the FP ideas.

Future World's regular open time is 9am.
