What to get for 20th anniversary???

We have some friends that will be having a nice dinner at a restaurant and paying for all of the guests. We will be going and would like to get them something nice, but not too expensive. Please help me with some ideas!!

What about a gift certificate for their favorite place to eat or some place nice?

If I knew of something that they would love like a really great, special bottle of wine then I would do that. If not, then I would also go with a gift certificate to a favorite restarant. I would make the gift, at least, enough to cover the cost of our meal.

Wow, everyone is at the same loss of ideas as I am?

Please let me know even if you think it may be silly. I am very, very lost on this. We are not besties with this couple. My husband works with the husband and we have been out with them a few times and their daughter has watched our kids for us a few times.

you say that you don't know much about the couple but is there something they particuarly like or enjoy? a place that they would never got themselves?

perhaps a couples basket? i recently got a good friend a picnic basket with a nice bottle of wine and then a few gift certificates to places that they could get items for a picnic for themselves.

My husband made nice gift baskets for christmas. If you go to Party City, they have baskets and a plastic bag that the basket goes in. We added some nice coffee, a bottle of champagne and some ghiridelli or lindt truffle bags. You can put in what you think they would like.

I may go the gift basket route. Too bad most of the Christmas good candy is gone!
