We are going to try Le Cellier for the first time during our December trip. What is your favorite meal there and why?

Thanks:teeth:

Hi Princess,

We just ate there on Monday (lunch) for the first time and loved it. Definitely try the cheddar cheese soup! I had a NY Strip steak that was very tasty and my wife decided to try the sweet potato ravioli. The ravioli was VERY good. All in all, it was probably the best meal we had during our trip. I'm sure other, more experienced Le Cellier "veterans" can give some additional suggestions.

I will be eating my ny strip steak and a molson ice beer on dec 1st!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Cheddar Cheese Soup and the Wild Mushroom Stuffed Filet (if they still offer it)!!

I had the grilled chicken sandwich for lunch and it was yummy! And of course the pretzel bread is great as well. I second the thought that this was my best meal at WDW.

Ditto on the Cheddar Cheese soup & Pretzel Bread! Steaks are delicious too. This was the best meal we had on our last trip. Enjoy!

yes, the soup and pretzel bread are incredible! but so is other stuff too! we had the steak sandwich for lunch, excellent! and the maple glazed salmon at dinner is very very good! :)

Laura :)

I forgot about the maple glazed salmon! We had this at the Food & Wine Festival last year and it was the best dish we had for the entire Festival. I forgot that they had this on the regular dinner menu at Le Cellier as well.

Well, now that you know you have to have the cheese soup, pretzel bread, and steak, I'll move onto the desserts. We particularly loved the Classic Creme Brulee and the
Apple Tart with Caramel sauce. But don't overlook the mixed field green salad w/crumbled blue cheese & pecan-shallot vinaigrette dressing. We'll be eating there on Dec 3rd prior to the Candlelight Processional and can hardly wait for them to "bring on the beef!"

LOVED the dinner. Get the Cheese Soup to start, then the Mushroom Filet for your main course, and add on the lobster tail. Don't forget to get the side of mushrooms, as well

We really want to try the Cheddar Cheese soup, but the beer is a no-no. Do you think it would be possible to get the soup without the beer?

dessert - MOOSE CAKE
It looks like a moose - so cute, my DH took a picture of it
(sorry we go not have a digital camera or scanner) before we devoured it.

Chocolate cake with chocolate moose inside. Two large maple leaf shaped
cookies for ears. Carmel sauce base. eyes, nose, .....

I bet the pastry chef has fun creating it.

If you have kids - order a Moose Cake :)

Mayflower1635,

I sympathize as I also do not care to have alcohol in my food. But I think in this case the best thing is to just let it go (don't have the cheddar soup). I'm sure they have a huge pot of it back in the kitchen with the beer already mixed in.

Instead let's take advantage of the maple glazed salmon available here, *without* the whisky that Artist Point feels necessary to spoil it with! (And charge an extra $9 for!)

Can you have the mushroom filet with a lobster add-on for dinner with the CP dinner pkg? Or would they charge extra for the lobster? That sounds delicious! We'll be there on December 14 - can't wait!

if Alcohol is a problem please know that all alcohol is cooked out in the cooking process just leaving behind the favor. Some people do not like these favors and choose to not eat food cooked with alcohol but no alcohol will be present in the food.

the lobster add on was $10.99 Sat.night and could be added to any adult entree.

I will post a new thread for the current menu at LeCellier.
