There are so many things going on in Oct...LOEMH, F&W Fest, MNSSHP

Could someone tell me what to expect for the last week in OCT? I have only been in Sept and I am worried.:confused3

I would like to hear the good & the bad.

FYI We will be staying on property.

Thanks

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the end of October.

I have also gone the end of August, mid and end of Sept, beginning and end of Nov and the beginning of Dec. Those are my comparisions.

October is great because of the low crowds yet amazingly great weather. It's not as hot (and humid) as August and Sept and it doesn't rain as much either.

The crowds, IMHO, are probably be less than August but a little more than Sept. September is consistantly a low attended month due to many kids just going back to school and because of hurricane season.

Another plus is the MNSSHP! :cool1:

I think you will have a blast and fall in love with October.

Out last 2 trips were in late October
Beautiful weather...warm enough to go swimming, but not as scorching and humid as summer - even a little "coolish" sometimes at night
Lighter crowds...minimal wait times for most, bigger attractions were maybe 30 mins standby
MNSSHP...out favorite thing about Oct in Disney - trick or treating around MK in costume (my son was Mickey, I was Minnie, hubby was Goofy), seeing characters in costume, and the Boo To You parade - believe me when I tell you the music will be stuck in your head for MONTHS!
All of the "free dining" people will be gone by then, so the restaurants should be less crowded too - we changed a few reservations last minute while we were there and had no problems.
We did not do F&W Festival, and LOEMH was not happening during our trip, so I can't comment on either one of those.

ENJOY - We LOVE October in the World!

good weather and low crowds...the Halloween parties tend to be busier the last few though.

This will be our first trip in Oct! I can't wait. We've been Mar, Feb, July, Aug,Nov & Dec. I've heard great things about Oct..low crowds great weather.

When we were there in Nov last year, Epcot was a bit busy for F&W but not unmanagable. I would just make ADR for any Epcot location sooner rather than later.

This will be my families first trip in October also! We have only gone in January(TOO COLD), and June(TOO HOT). I decided I was going to take the kids out a few extra days at fall break so we could experience the end of October. Have read so many positives about that time of year! I also wanted to take my kids to MNSSHP! Sounds like a blast!!! We are so looking forward to our trip in only 6 months!!!:cool1:

We are also going End of October. We have always been in Jan or feb once n august(way too hot) so we are going for Halloween. We are just doing a long weekend so only two days in the parks. We have choosen Animal kingdom and MGM.

Does anyone know if there are special events going on in these parks or is it only Magic kingdom. Any help would be great.

Can't wait to see the mouse>>>>

Thanks for the responses everyone. I feel so much better after hearing so many good things:goodvibes . I was kinda worried about the crowds but since hearing from you all I now feel excited:woohoo: I am so looking forward to going during cooler weather and my DD can't wait to see her man, Mickey:love: .

For all of you other Dissers that are going that week I will be looking for you...don't forget your LGMHs and the secret fockers sign:banana:
