What to expect Mardi Gras 2/22

We'll be in Orlando through 2/24 and I understand that the Mardi Gras parade or whatever begins that weekend. What should we expect? Is it only at USF? What time is the parade. I keep seeing posts about the parade at 8PM, but the parks are closing at 7PM when we're there - I think. Please help me plan which days we're doing these parks. Thanks.
