what to expect in early march ?

I'll be at Disneyland March 3-5 what can I expect ?

I've only ever visited in September before. I won't have my kids with me this trip just my Husband and we are staying in a Duo Studio at Disneyland Hotel.

Weather? Rides, any special events I should know about??

Below is the event calendar from this year. It is likely that you will be there during DCA's Food & Wine Festival. If it is the first week, the lines for the food booths and specialty items will be more crowded than usual.

Weather is hit and miss. Five years ago, I would say that our rainy season should be over by then. Not anymore. You could experience beautiful, sunny days and cooler evenings or torrential rain. You'll have to wait until closer to the date and look at weather forecasts.

Are you just coming for Disneyland or is it this part of a longer, extended trip?

One of the nice things about your situation is that if you do run into times when it's not feeling like the ideal time to be in the parks, you've got your DLH studio to go back to! Good place to take a break and enjoy the hotel amenities.
