What to expect from a travel agent?

This is our first cruise. We booked it through an internet travel agency that was recommened because of it's knowedge of Disney. I have yet to see where this knowedge paid off. We are 2 weeks out and never got any information on excursions. When we got our cruise travel info I expected there would be something in there. When I called Disney, they said it should have been sent out by our travel agent when we paid our balance at 60 days out. I am disappointed that we never got this information. Am I expecting too much from a travel agent, that they should have sent out the info and let us know to make excursion reservations early as things can fill up..given this is our first time out. I expect nothing..and ask a lot of questions. I just look for the best rate available.

You can book your own excursions through DCL directly, even on the website.

Sometimes, the TA will include the excursion information in with the paperwork that you receive when you put your deposit down (long before the final payment is due). I know that All Seas did this with us. So you might want to go back through all of the initial stuff that they sent you and see if the booklet might have been included in there.
