I will be going down in April and have made 10 table service reservations at the following restaurants:

Tony's Town Square Restaurant (dinner)
Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre (dinner)
Les Chefs de France (dinner)
Yak n Yeti (late lunch/early dinner)
Rainforest Cafe @ Animal Kingdom
Kona Cafe (breakfast)
Le Cellier Steakhouse (dinner)
Boma Flavors of Africa (breakfast)
Coral Reef Restaurant (dinner)
Restaurant Marrakesh (dinner)

Has anyone eaten at any of these? If so what do you recommend? I am on the dining plan so I get the entree and dessert. Also any pics of the meals at these restaurants? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I will post reviews myself once I get back in April, but any help prior to my trip would be wonderful!!

I can report in on Chefs de France and Boma breakfast in a couple of weeks as those are on our agenda/schedule as well.

The only other one I've eaten at is Le Cellier. BEER CHEESE SOUP (Or whatever they call it there)!!! Enough said. :)

Tomato Stack - excellent!

Les Chefs de France - steak au poivre or beef shortribs YUM, creme brulee or crepe with apples.

Le Cellier - Mushroom filet and maple creme brulee

Kona Cafe breakfast - Tonga Toast or pineapple macademia nut pancakes. Everything else is good too but you can get eggs and bacon anywhere!

LeCellier you must have the Prime Rib if you are a lover of that cut of beef.

Everyone tried to talk me out of it, including the server, but I insisted this is what I wanted.......and I wasn't disappointed.
It was fantastic!!! So tender, could cut it with a fork and very mellow, not alot of seasoning or spice. Just let the natural flavor flow thru it.....wow my mouth is watering right now!

Also the cream cheese mashed potatoes. Those are heaven in potatoe form! For certain have those you won't be disappointed.

The creme brulee I was not impressed with. It was too burnt and to thick to really enjoy........WPE is much better.

Enjoy!

Le Cellier - the mushroom filet is to die for my husband loves the new york strip. I also love their tomato stack.

Coral Reef - the steak and the salmon are both very good.

Yak & Yeti - The steak and shrimp combo are great and the wonton dessert is great

I acutally just had breakfast @ Kona cafe yesterday for the first time, and I highly recommend it! Sorry, no pictures (long story), but here's a small run-down:

Big Kahuna-delicious, but except for the pancakes, typical breakfast food.

We also got an order of just the macadamia nut pancakes. With the Big Kahuna the two pancakes are small, but with the order of the pancakes themselves-HUGHE!!! And ohhhh, so worth cheating on my healthy eating plan! All day at work today I was craving them with the macadamia nut butter. I can still taste it . . . :cloud9::tongue:

I had the Lalakai juice, taste was the richness of nectar but consistency of juice (very sweet and concentrated but think, not syrup-y), and I would've ordered another glass if I had thought it would come out before we finished! Service was very ssslllooowww, about 10:45 when we sat down and there were a lot of others eating a late Sunday breakfast.

SO-the foot very much outweighted the slow sevice, highly recommend!

I don't have any pictures, but wanted to share that my family THOROUGHLY enjoyed our meal at Le Cellier this past September. My DD had the child's steak which she said was her favorite meal of the week. I had the mushroom filet with cream cheese mashed potatoes (instead of risotto)....it was fantastic!

We also had lunch at Sci-Fi. The atmosphere was awesome, the food was okay. DH and I just had burgers and fries, DD had pizza (she doesn't care for Disney pizza much). I would go back and maybe try different menu items.

This year, in March, we are going to try Chefs de France for dinner, and Tony's for lunch another day. We are going to be trying some new places this year, as well as some favorites (Le Cellier)...yay! Would be happy to let you know how our meals go! Hope you enjoy all of your ADRs!

We never miss the opportunity to eat at Artists Point at WL - the mushroom soup is unbelievable.

thank you so much for all your suggestions!! For those going to any of these places prior to my trip the end of april give me your feedback!! And if anyone else has any suggestions let me know! I'm loving this board, as it is very new to me, but I plan on posting all my reviews when I return. I am contemplating eating at Artist Point because we are staying at Wilderness Lodge so we shall see.

Sci Fi--I've only had the burger, and don't think I'd get anything else! The onion rings were good too.

Yak and Yeti--LOVED the ribs! So much food, and one of our favorite meals!

Kona breakfast--I tried the infamous tonga toast, and will not ever get it again! It wasn't for me. I do however hope to try the Big Kahuna next time!

Le Cellier--Filet, hands down! I've tried other things on the menu and nothing compares to that filet! My favorite meal at Disney. But I ordered it with the cream cheese mashed potatoes instead of the other side dish they offer.

Coral Reef--I had the steak...it was good. But my dh had some kind of seafood dish that he LOVED!

looks like a wonderful list! I've eaten at all on your list except Marrakesh and Yak N Yeti. I do plan to hit Yak and Yeti in Dec though.

we love Le Cellier and eat there almost every trip. the pretzel bread is divine, the cheddar cheese soup is a must and great desserts. Of course i love the filet. Even with an ADR, be prepared for a bit of a wait. campfire smores at Le Cellier (love the chocolate mousse more though)

I was impressed with Coral Reef- it was our first time there for lunch in Dec. We had a great meal (especially considering we had a party of 14). Selections were good- something for everyone and excellent food. The atmosphere was fabulous too and we sat the furthest away you could from the aquarium, along the back wall and still enjoyed it. The desserts here were great!

desserts at Coral Reef- creme brulee (butterscotch i think and the famous chocolate wave).

Love Chefs de France as well- yummy french onion soup, great service and desserts. be prepared for it to feel a bit loud and crowded, tables are close together. but great food.

Sci fi- the food is okay, nothing exceptional. they do offer a burger that isn't on the menu. i do love their BLT soup- really good! we just love the atmosphere here, fun and we are big sci fi nerds. so we go in knowing the food is mediocre and it is more about the experience. again, be prpared to wait here even with an ADR. we usually aren't seated until 15 minutes or more past our ADR time, they seem to always run late/behind.

Kona is great too- wonderful selection, casual dining and overall good selection.

I've now done breakfast and dinner at Boma- i enjoyed dinner more. But not being an 'exotic' eater, i found it okay. i still found plenty to eat, being as picky as i am- and loved the soups. The zebra domes were okay, but i just don't understand what all the hype is about. you can buy them in the fast food place at AKL too by the half dozen if you want. again, it is loud, busy and seems a bit crowded, probably due to the buffet style and people being up and down and walking around a lot. if you like exotic food, you will probably really enjoy it!

not a big fan of rainforest- i think it is just overpriced bar food. but a lot of people enjoy it. we have one here locally in dallas, so we don't find it anything special and i seem to always have bad experiences either with the food or service so that has put me off a bit. definitely fun atmosphere. We've thought of trying the T-rex cafe maybe for dessert (not full meal) next time - it looks a lot cooler than Rainforest inside (same owners i believe).

have a ball!!!

first off thank you to everyone who posted their pics!!! It is almost a month away and I am getting so excited. Does anyone else have any pics or suggestions for each of the restaurants mentioned??

I just got back Sunday and have some pics, but I haven't had time to upload them. Someone said the Tonga Toast was a must, and I agree 100%. I was almost euphoric after it! LOL Also the Sci Fi was very good, we were stuffed! DH and DD got the ribs and loved them, I got the shrimp pasta and wished I'd gotten the ribs. The atmosphere is GREAT!
