WHAT to DO ?

so we have exhausted all of our 2006 pts.
What were we thinking? If only i had read these boards sooner.. We booked our cruise for this JUne and had i known i wanted to go back to WDW at Christmas time I would have probably just paid cash for the cruise and saved my pts.

so, my dilemma. I have 230 pts for 2007 UY is FEB at SSR that I can borrow for Dec 2006/Jan 2207. I need 185 more pts to stay for the two weeks in Dec/Jan.

Should we add on? and could we possibly get our feb UY? or do we RENT just to get through this year....or do we take the 230 pts and get what days we can out of it and then take the other days and pay cash somewhere else (heaven forbid somewhere off site or even somewhere NOT disney??)

Or do we sell our 230 pts and take the cash and spend it on a two-week vacation somewhere NON-Disney or DVC ? My husband thinks Mexico.

Oh what is a poor DVC member to do ? Any thoughts ? If it were you what do you think you would do ?

If you have 230, 2007 points and need 185 more for your trip in December of 2006, then either rent/transfer the extra points or cut your trip down by eliminating some of the weekend times.

If you are sure you'll use the points in the future and buy an add-on from Disney, they will give you your same use year.

Do be careful though about the borrowing. With December at the end of your use year, if you were to cancel the trip, you may not have a lot of time to use the points, if at all.
