What to do with my purchases

I have a question for a friend of mine. They are staying at the Doubletree Universal, which is right out of the gate at Universal. If they purchase suveniers do they have to carry them around all day, or will they send them up to guest services to be picked up by the end of the day? I know if you stay at one of "their" resorts they will send them to your resort.

Just wondering.

You can send them to the front of the park. There is a shop in Lost Continent that will do that for you if you just bring your purchases there.

you can have the stores ship the merch you buy to your residence too.
the TM can wrap and box the items you buy.

i always have them wrap my items for carrying back in my checked luggage
when i fly. never had any damage to the merch.

i believe the cut off time is 2 hours prior to park closing to use this service.
i have used it before and don't know if that policy has changed.

At the Studios they send the purchases to It's a Wrap which is the store right by the exit. At Islands, they send them to the Trading Company which is the large store at the Port of Entry.

I checked my bag in one of the Harry potter stores. They just asked if I had any candy in there -- I'm sure they are concerned about melting! I noticed when I picked up my bag at the end up of the day they had plenty of frogs and boxes of jellybeans there.

So, I'm not sure what they do if you do have candy in your bag. Do they refuse to check your bag? Or do they take it out and give you a different one when you leave? If you've opened and started eating it, I think you'd be out of luck. So, probably best to buy the candy just as you're leaving.

I had a bottle of pumpkin juice in my bag and I did not mention it as it hadn't been opened.
