What to do with "extra" child's TS credits? Can I take her and not eat anything myself?

EDIT: Figured out one was missing, so make that 1 *extra* not 2!

When figuring out our dining plans, I realized that we will end up with 1 extra child TS credit.

1) Are there any locations that would allow DD to dine using 1 TS credit by herself? Unfortunately the Wonderland Tea Party doesn't accept TS credits, but are there any other things similar that DO accept the DDP?

2) Can I take her to a TS restaurant and not order anything for myself?

Thanks in advance! :)

Won't you need to eat, too? You could always order light; an appetizer, soup, or salad. Or you can use it at a counter service restaurant.

I figured I could eat QS beforehand, but I prefer your suggestion. So if I made reservations somewhere for 2, they wouldn't mind if I just ordered something small and let her use the TS credit? Good to know. Wasn't sure if making reservations committed you to ordering an entree!

Nope, it's just like any other restaurant. You can make reservations for just appetizers and dessert if you want.

You can order anything you want. Just don't pick a buffet/AYCE/fixed price restaurant if you don't intend to pay full price for yourself.

Did you change your plans? You had 6 child TS credits on your plan before.

I decided to pay for CRT out of pocket, since I already have, and with it being 2 TS credits it divides out to lower value. I added in a Tusker House breakfast on our AK day. I may just use the cTS as a QS at BOG lunch on the 2nd MK day.

I'll go update my dining plans in a few minutes. :)

They won't let you order off the kids menu as an adult. I'm not sure if it an option for you but

Why don't you use her credits for CRT but pay OOP for you for it? Does that even it out? it is a decent use of kids TS credits but not as much for adults.

I'm not sure if you're addressing a specific restaurant, but most will absolutely allow you to order off the kids menu.

I meant and let you use the kids TS credits. Unless they will? Could an adult and a child go to a restaurant and both order kids means and use kids TS meals?

In that sense, you are correct. Using the dining plan, I don't beleive they will allow an adult to order a kids meal. They will often "upsize" a kids entree for an adult on the dining plan. But they will let anyone order a kids meal when paying out of pocket. So, since she only has one kids credit left, she could order a kids meal for the child and pay for a kids meal for herself.

Hadn't considered that. Good idea, thanks!

oh when I read the OP it was 2 and it seemed like people were suggesting she take DD somewhere and use both credits each ordering kids meals. I don't think they will let you do that but I don't know. with 1 it is much easier, take the kid somewhere (NOT buffet) and order whatever you feel like even an appetizer. Sounds like it could be a fun mom/daughter meal :)

Yes, it was originally two. :) Sorry for the confusion!

My original question WAS if I could use 2 child TS credits for DD and myself, but then I added a TS meal to our plan, going to pay for myself OOP, and then use the second TS credit for BOG CS lunch.
