what to do with carry-on bags day of check in?

We are checking into CSR early in the a.m. my sister lives in Orlando, we are flying in the stay with her the first night, rest up, and she is driving us to the hotel early to check in. I know our room won't be ready, so do you also leave your carry-on bags with your luggage, because if we want to go back to our room the first day to swim we won't have anything with us and also we will be taking our DVD player, will that be safe in the holding area with our luggage? (or wherever they put your luggage)

You could check your bags at the hotel... and if you wanted to go swim, you might be able to get your bags. OR maybe take out what you need for the pool, and put that in a locker at the park you will be at???? I just check them when I go and stay. Have fun!

We arrived about 2 hours before our room was ready and chose to hang on to our carry on bags -- BIG MISTAKE! We were just going down to have a late lunch and thought it would be OK. Not only did we have to lug all the kids backpacks but we also had 2 carseats, 2 strollers and 4 tired, cranky kids! Next time I will leave everything with bell services but the essentials.

Last year we stayed at CSR. We left our carry on, car seats, etc with bellservices too. This time we're arriving early in the morning so I have two carry on's packed. One is for our airplane trip (traveling with two toddlers!) and the other is for our afternoon in the park. We'll just leave one and head straight to the busses after we check in.

When we got back to our room after leaving everything with bellservices none of our luggage or our car seats had been brought to our room yet. We called to have it all brought and everything came about an hour later. It was just a little inconvenient because my kids were ready to go to bed but at no time was I worried about the security of our stuff.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your trip and CSR. We loved it.

We left all of our carry ons with bell services on our day of checkin. Our luggage was delivered (from ME) but we had to go get our carry-ons. Still a nice service.

Security doesn't seem to be a problem, non employees weren't in the room where everything was stored, and you have to have your paperwork to get the stuff back.
