So, we fly in to Tampa on Friday at 9:55 am. We (myself, my husband, DS age 6, DS age 5) were supposed to meet my aunt for lunch but now she is not available. What would you do with an extra day? I am thinking about Legoland. As my kids are both big Lego fans. I also thought about a day at clearwater or adding another day to the parks (we are already going for 8 including and MNSSHP).

What would you do with an extra day in central Florida??

If your going to be in Tampa why not go to Busch Gardens. Nice park, not too big and, easy to do in a day. Really awesome coasters if that is your thing.

With children at those ages, I would visit LEGOLAND or add the extra park day at WDW. The big coasters at Busch are probably not appropriate for your young ones. Adding an extra day at WDW would be relatively inexpensive, FYI.

I agree with @wdwrich that you should either go to Legoland or do extra day at WDW. If you already have 8 days, it'll only cost $10 to add extra day. If $ is not the issue, and if you have never gone to Legoland and your kids love legos, go to Legoland.

I took my sons to Legoland in California when it first opened (almost 20 years ago?) and I was very impressed with what they did with logos. I've never been to Legoland in WDW but my friends has year pass to Legoland in California and they seem to love it. I want to go back but my sons are now 22 and 28 and they have no desire to go. :( This is sad because my 22 year old son LOVED legos as child.

One possible difficulty with Legoland is they close at 5:00. If your flight lands at 9:55, I wouldn't think you'd be to Legoland much before noon. Will five hours be enough time and be worth the money?

Are you watching the weather?? It looks like Hurricane Matthew will be dumping rain on FL on Friday. This could affect your flight and driving. Please be careful.

Edited to add: Maybe check out what movies are playing at the theater over in Disney Springs. You can eat lunch/dinner and see a movie at the same time.
