What to Do with 7 Banked Points?

Do to circumstances, I had to rent my banked points, and I managed to rent all but 7. Can I do anything with them? Donate them? I really don't want them to go to waste if there is something constructive I can do with them.

Since the points are banked and 7 points isn't enough to reserve a night in any season at any DVC resort, there aren't any options unless you are willing to add some points to the 7. Then you can reserve something to rent or stay yourself.

If it were me, I'd just let them go.

Studio Weeknights in Hilton Head for all of January and the 1st half of December are only 6 points, and the cash rate is really reasonable. We paid cash 1 night in Hilton Head for $81.00. You might consider spending a Thursday or Sunday night and adding some weekend nights. Of course that digs a bigger hole than your in now.

I have 50 banked points that are going to go the way of the dodo this year...just couldn't use them...so I could swallow losing 7 a whole lot easier.

OP - Another member could transfer a few of their points to you and you could reserve them a one night reservation. That would use up your points. That would only work if you haven't already used up your one transfer in or out per use year.

Try contacting the Give Kids the World organization. Their website is http://www.gktw.org. They provide "wishes" to kids with serious illnesses and their families from the area (including park tix) and can use overnight accommodations at WDW. I read about them here on the boards somewhere and they were thrilled to have the 13 expiring points I had and couldn't use. I haven't completed my one night donation to them yet, but all I had to do was make the reservation for the family I was donating to. I think I started the process by sending an email to them offering the use of the points and someone got back to me. Sure beats letting a few points go to waste or the headache of renting.

Wow, 50 points and you let them go that's crazy!! I had 50 points left over this year and just sold for transfer 30 of them for $12 pp. I'll bank the remaining 20 into next year in July and use the few hundred bucks I got for the points as spending money on my trip next month.

They're banked points and can't be transferred or banked again. Also, it seems that listing them would just be too much of a hassle. I'm a nursing student and a full-time wife and mom to 2 kids...so time is at a premium around here.
