Soooooooo,

Gonna enjoy my vacation no matter what.
BUT,
I leave in a week and there is a chance for Tropical Storn type weather hitting the area.

Any good idea for any rainy days we get. Not just the blow through storms but the 90-100% stormy weather days.

We have AK Wild Africa Trek schedule, if it looks like it will be bad, considering cancelling and booking massages instead.

Movies at DTD might be an option.

Any other ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Throw on a poncho or rain coat, ignore the rain, and go have fun! Really, the crowds will be low and many attractions in the parks are indoors. We pay so much money for our vacation. I'm not going to let a little rain stop me :)

Thanks for the reply.

I Totally agree.

I,m from Portland so not too worried about rain.

More about severe weather. Which I guess would shut things down anyways if it was that bad.

I was there when Gabrielle hit on 9-14-01. CMs kept saying they may close the theme parks if it was real bad, but we headed to AK that day and it was awesome. Wore real rain gear, not just those ponchos, and saw LOTS of activity from the animals. Ended up being a decent time after all!

If it's an all day sort of rain and you just don't want to deal, here are some ideas:

* Shopping - DTD has great shopping. Yes, it will be raining but you can run between shops.

* Movies - as you said a few hours at the movies are really nice and relaxing.

* Bowling - there is now a bowling alley at DTD - Splitsville I think is the name.

* Resort hopping - easier if you have a car but nice to explore the other resorts, catch a bite to eat or shop. ( Ok, I love to shop )

* Progressive dining - this works great at the MK resorts ( because of the monorail ) or the BWI area. We've done the MK resorts - appetizers at Contemporary, dinner at Poly and drinks and dessert at Grand Floridian.

Totally forgot about bowling. great call.

Love that the animals are more active. Never thought of that.

I also bought a book today. Sometimes I forget to take a breath and relax on my WDW vacations. Might just be meant to be.

4 days and counting!

I was there too. It was 3 days after 9-11 and the parks were empty because of that and the tropical storm. We rode every ride 10 or 20 times. It was awesome.
