what to do , what to do?

i'm thinking of extending our first dvc holiday.we have 250 pts and feb use year for ssr.if i book those extra two days i'll be over by 22pts(my total pt usage will be 522).correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think i'll have anymore pts to borrow and so i'll have to rent pts or do something i heard mention just recently-trade pts.can someone take the time to analyse my situation and tell me what is the best plan of attack?thanks very much!

Can we have some more info. When are you staying from and to? What kind of room do you presently have?

Without the info is there a simple way to save some points? Maybe move into a studio for a weekend? Otherwise it sounds like you will have to transfer some points into your account or have someone else make a reservation for you and then link it to your exisiting one.

First you need to see if you can get the added days you need. Then go from there to rent points from another member to transfer to your account.

i've never done this before and so i didn't know where to start.our reservation is (as my sig says) at ssr from dec1-10(checking out on dec 10) 2004.it is a 2 br.the problem arises from the fact that i've booked a room for my inlaws for the same amount of time that we there.(seemed like a good idea at the time).hence if i book the extra 2 nights(fri & sat nights) we'll be over by 22 pts.i don't think i would change to a smaller room just to make this happen.
to me it was like the chicken and egg scenario.what's first .ressie or aquire pts.if i aquire pts and then can't get my room ......and how can i get my days if i don't have the pts?

You can call MS and find out if the room is available before you do anything. What about just all sharing a 2BR on the first night to get it over with. Or getting two studios on the first night or even first two nights? That should free up the points you need to make the rest of the trip go smoothly.
