What to do the first day

I will be arriving on Friday December 8th. Hopefully there will be no snow storm to delay my arrival. Anyway we will get to the airport at 11:00 we are using the magical express. Not sure how long it will take to get to All star Movies. We are haveing dinner at 7:00 p.m. at Spoodles. What can we do in the meantime till we can check in to our room.

We are arriving the day after you. I am also hoping the snow STAYS AWAY!

If we do not have park tickets for our first day, we usually end up hanging out in Downtown Disney or just riding the monorail, checking out the resorts. Either is great fun during the holiday season!

Oh the choices!!! Of course you can always opt to visit one of the parks but we usually start off a little slower. We usually roam around the resort to get a feel of what they have to offer. You can pack a bathing suit in your carry-on bag and visit the pool. Another great option is to visit Downtown Disney for some eating, shopping, etc. The Lego store in the Marketplace is great fun for the little ones or you can catch a movie at the theatre. If you haven't gotten your park tickets yet, you can ride the monorail to buy the tickets so you don't have to waste time on your first park day - just riding the monorail around the loop is great fun (try to get in the front with the driver!). There is always mini-golf at either Fantasia or Winter/Summerland too. Whatever you decide, have lots of fun and enjoy your trip!

We go in the pool on our first day. Have dinner at someplace special (like Chef Mickey's) and get to bed at a reasonable hour.

Then again we drive down most of the time... So we are too tired to do much else!
