What to do the day before without a car?

If you arrive a day early and stay at the Radisson at the Port, is there anything to do when you are car-less, other than hanging out at the pool...?

The road is not really conducive to walking....there is a minature golf place right near by that you could walk to...a McDonald's across the street and some other restaurants nearby....but to go to the beach or anything you would have to take a taxi.

Not sure how many are in your party and how you ae getting to the Radisson at the Port, but have you considered renting a vehicle? We are flying in on Sat (9-17) and have a vehicle reserved through Budget for only $22.00 (taxes and all), of course it is just the wife and I, so there will be a lmited amount of luggage and we opted for the cheapest rental. We pick the vehicle up when we land and then turn it in on Sunday, where they will shuttle us to Port Canaveral.

Just a thought.

i'm staying at ron jon resort and thinking of taking a taxi to the space center- although the admin fee is kinda pricey although, beach, sun and sleep sound pretty good to me

Can anyone recommend any of the restaurants within walking distance of the Radisson at the Port (other than McDonalds, of course... )

Zachary's is next door (Greek - but has American food too) and there is an Italian place next door also - very good too. We at both of these places in January.

If you are feeling a need for the beach - the Radisson offers a complimentary shuttle to beach and you just call them to pick you up whenever you are ready to go. We did this also and they were very accomodating.
