Having lost 18 lbs in the last couple of months, I am at that awful in-between stage where my current clothes are getting really loose and my used-to-fit clothes are still miles too small.

Have got 5 weeks to go till my holiday and I don't think I'm going to lose enough weight before then, to get into my too-small clothes. But if I continue to lose then the clothes I have now will be much too big and look stupid.

I don't really want to buy new clothes if I can help it but, by the same token, I don't want to stop dieting now and undo all the hard work I've put in over the last few weeks.

Decisions, decisions.

You should average 1lb a week so will that extra 5lbs be enough to get back into your "old" wardrobe? If not, then you'll just HAVE to buy new - not such a hardship really! I never need an excuse to shop!

snap - - I've just done the same !

I've lost nearly 2 stone in the past 4 months I've gone from a size 16 to a 12.

What a lovely feeling to put on last years skirt and have it fall off :cool1:

I've had to go and buy loads of smaller knickers :bitelip: cos all of mine are too big and new shorts etc. :Pinkbounc

Keep going !

Why don't you just buy the new clothes in Florida ? We will be a size smaller out there LOL :cheer2:

Well done on losing all that weight so far. It's hard isn't it?

I joined WW in 2002 and lost a stone and a half just in time for my wedding last year, but have put on half a stone of it in the past year, so I am trying to lose 9 lbs (have done 4 so far - so almost half way!!).

Anyway, I think you should treat yourself to a shopping spree, but if you don't want to spend loads on new clothes that are going to be too big soon, why don't you try E-Bay?

I have been buying loads of clothes on there recently for not very much at all (Got a gorgeous new black, strapless dress for our 1st Wedding Anniversary for just under £12!!)

Well, I have just had a sort out of my wardrobe and drawers and found 4 pairs of trousers and 2 pairs of shorts that now fit me (didn't last year). So, I am gonna treat myself to a few new tops/tee-shirts as it won't matter if they're a bit looser than they're meant to be. If I manage to lose enough weight to get into the other clothes that don't fit me now then that's a bonus.

We're only going for a week so I'm not going to need to take much anyway.

Thanks for all your comments :)

Congrats on the weight loss ~ Always a lovely feeling when you need to shop for smaller clothes ;)

WoW Florence - 97lbs lost. That really is some kind of achievement. I don't know about buying clothes one size smaller, you must be several sizes smaller now. Well done. :sunny:

Well I'm a bit naughty. I am on countdown to our trip in Oct and have promised myself that I will lose just over a stone that I have put on after I lost it with WW. Well up to now I haven't lost much of it but I do have clothes in my wardrobe that will be fine once I can shift this weight so I really need to get motivated to shift it in 7 weeks. I will buy tops as these will be fine even once I have lost the weight but I won't buy bottoms until it has gone. Next have a selection of shorts in the Directory so I know I will be fine for Oct. If I were you Wilma-Bride I would have a splurge just before you go away and keep losing that weight :cheer2:
Here's to carrot sticks :rotfl:

snap i have lost 4.5 stone in the last 4 months, and alot of my clothes hang off now, so i invested in a belt for my jeans lol,

I cant wait to get some new holiday clothes at the end of november
