On our first full day we were planning on going to MK, but there is MNSSHP on that date.

Do they completely close the park and then re-open it for those with tickets?

If so what time scales are these?

Also can you buy a ticket where you can go to the MNSSHP on any of the dates rather than prebooking just one date (like the Universal frequent frear pass?)

I'm not really sure what to do, as if the park closes part way through the day I don't really want to miss out on any park time with it being the first day and I'm wondering if we should pick another park (but really want to MK )

Oh what to do, what to do :)

You can buy MNSSHP tickets on the day if there is availability, most nights should be ok. As from 7pm the park is for MNSSHP only and they clear out all the non MNSSHP guests.

An option for your first day is go to MK in the morning and then choose Epcot or DHS for the evening. Or buy MNSSHP tickets :)

So they don't actually close the park at all during the day even if you have the MNSSHP tickets?

I think we will probably go the the party it sounds pretty good :)

No the park stays open throughout the day, you can enter anytime after 4pm with just the MNSSHP ticket but before that need to use a regular ticket. If there before 4pm after that time they have wristbands available for MNSSHP guests and you show your ticket to get the wristband.

What's the actual date? Some nights will sell out in advance.

Or first full day will be Friday 3rd October. What do you think is it worth risking it and waiting until we get there?

Being as the 3rd is a premium date with no discounts I can't see if selling out before the day. I know Oct 31st often sells out fast and then the dates near it.

If there are any midweek dates to could goto I would strongly advise to change your plans. We have always done midweek and rides have been walk on, no lines at all. Other people that have done weekends say it gets busy.

Well that's one of the nights for which there are no advance purchase discounts, meaning it's one of the ones they expect to be the busiest. If you really want to go, I wouldn't risk waiting until the day itself.

The following are the dates of the non-discounted parties:

September 19th, 26th
Oct 3rd, 10th, 16th, 23rd, 24th, 26th, 30th, 31st.

According to today's AllEars newsletter, MNSSHP has been cancelled for the night of Friday, 3rd October. Disney will be contacting guests who have purchased tickets.

Yes good point Deb, had forgotten that! Just checked the official hours and still show as closing at 7pm.

Claire ;)

Thanks for the heads up on that. Think i will be subscribing to that newsletter :)
