What to do next?

I've put in deposits for my videographer (Stan), Photographer (Roots), and Rev (Rev Jack). I've made contact with Patricia LeJeune about make up - waiting for confirmation from her.

What else should I be doing/reserving a year out from the wedding?

Have you started looking for a dress yet? The sooner the better.

Have you decided on attendants? Rings? Dinner/reception? Cake?

That's as far as I've gotten and I'm about 5 months away.

Right now I'm finalizing dessert party and reception plans, and working on invites. And I just changed my mind on the colors and bridesmaids dresses for the 3rd time.

Over the last few months I've changed my mind on so many things that I slowed down a bit on planning until I was sure of what I wanted.

I just booked Misty, Stan, and Patricia. I wonder what I'm missing.

RELAXING! You will have plenty of opportunity to scurry around doing stuff as the wedding gets closer.

The beauty of a Disney wedding is you don't have to do most of the stuff that wedding mags tell you to do between 12 and 8 months out, like site visits, interviewing caterers and cake bakers, etc. I know it *feels* like you should have a mile-long task list at 12 months out, but you don't need one!

It seriously feels like I should be doing something! I was just extremely worried that I would overlook something important while I'm all entangled with this move.

I would be dress shopping NOW... I ordered my dress a long time ago and I am so glad I did.. If I waited for the 12 month mark to get my dress I would have been stressing because it took over 9 months for my dress to come in!! I bought a Maggie Sottero dress and I heard after I had been waiting MONTHS that this designer takes awhile to get the dress to you. They told me 6-8 months when I bought it and it was over 9 months later that I actually got it. The shop I went to I asked if people whos wedding was sooner than mine were waiting for their dress too, the lady said yes we have someone who is getting married next month and her dress has not come in yet. So I say the sooner you order your dress the better But it all depends on who you order from and if its a designer if takes that long. My MOD dress only took about 1 or 2 month to get in from Davids.

I have my photogs (also the Roots) my officiant (my bestie who is getting ordained) make up (also Patricia LeJuene) but other than that I don't have a clue!!! And I am 6 mos out. Wait, I have a dress too! But I need a MOH dress and flowergirl dresses and I can't find any I really love....UGH

Oh and I need to book a place for our at home reception or it will be at my in laws. For 160 peeps.

And I can't stop eating, so pretty much I need someone to get me organized and will slap my hand whenever I start stress eating....

I will trade with you!! You can move all my junk from one house to another, (in snow), work 30 hrs a week, be a full time social work/psychology (double major) student and plan this wedding!!! Just kidding - we're all stressed out to the max!

I've got the Roots and Patricia as well! Great choices!

If you sign up with The Knot they have a really great checklist to go off of that gives you a timeline. I have been using it the entire time I have been planning and it really helped me out.

I know the Knot is not very liked but I just use if for resources because they really have great ideas.

marthastewart.com/weddings also has great tasklist which you can customize. I went through and deleted any that I didn't need since I am having a Disney Wedding (ex. search for bakery's, transportation, etc.) and then added some custom tasks (ex. decide on items for menu tasting, complete Room Block, etc.)
