I'm taking my DD for a college visit on Monday and will drive up Sunday. We were going to go to the Memorial but the museum is closed right now so just the outside is open. We'll go to the outside Memorial.

Any local restaurant suggestions? I'll have 2 17yo girls so something casual?

The school is a small private one. We've been to the Memorial before; it is very well done. We are going to go late in the day so we can see the light effects. We were there in the day time last time.

I was there in March of last year for a Matchbox Twenty concert. We ate dinner at Toby Keith's and enjoyed it. My friend made me go specifically for the fried balogna cups with cheese.

lol, photo because I had one.

There is a Hilton there in downtown that is just incredible--it's an old, completely restored historic hotel. If you don't have reservations yet, it's a great place to stay and is in the heart of the city.

Sorry for the long link.

You might check the concert schedule there...or have your daughter check it. Tickets are quite a bit less expensive than Dallas or San Antonio.

Just a few ideas. I went specifically for the concert and wasn't there but one night, so I didn't go to many restaurants.

Janette - My husband went to Oklahoma Christian, and also to Oklahoma City University (as did my brother for law school). And my sister went to SNU. Of course it's been years and years and I wouldn't have any new info for you, but I just wondered if one of those might be the one she's looking at.

We left OKC in 1995, so I can't really help you a ton on specific places to eat. Bricktown is nice. Also I visited OKC last summer and went here with my brother: http://pops66.com/. If Edmond is where you are going, that would be an idea.

We took the high school band to OKC a couple of years ago. Bricktown was a fun little shopping and dining area everybody enjoyed.
