Hi Everyone, We are going on a 4 day cruise in April and I was wondering what do you guys do when you get off the boat in the Bahamas? Any fun excursions? This will be our girls first cruise and my and my DH first Disney Cruise. I really don't think I want to bring them to the world famous Daquri Bar (LOL) that is what I did in the Bahamas last time... that and shop!

I would love any advice on Bahamas, Castaway Cay and anything else that would help!

BTW, my girls will be 8,5,3!

Kids often enjoy a carriage ride! The carriages are within walking distance of the ship, and they offer a little tour of Nassau. Just be sure to negotiate the price, and watch out if they offer to take a photo for you...they will expect extra $$$$ for that.

I've been reading from others about that pirate excursion but don't see it listed on the DCL site. How have you done it? I think I want to do it on our own anyhow. I saw on their website that they pick you up by bus close to the port. Do you have to make reservations ahead of time? Thanks in advance! Debi

Last July we went on the Atlantis Beach Day excursion. We had a great time. The resort is amazing. We first went to the beach for a few hours, while My Parents and some of the older people in our group went to the casino. We then met up and toured the aquarium. We didn't see it all, just the Shark tank which was very cool! We then went for lunch, you get lunch vouchers and get a choice of Hamburger, Cheese Burger, or Hot Dog, and Fries and a Drink. Afterwards we headed back to the beach for a few more hours of fun in the sun!

You have full access to the Resort with the exception of the Pools and Slides. My only regret is not spending more times exploring the rest of the Aquarium, but the beach was calling us :) .

Several other posters here have indicated that you can do the same thing on your own without bookng the excursion through DCL and save some money.

FYI, when we went our kids where 7, 5, and 2.

My 8-year-old granddaughter and I really did enjoy the Dolphin
Encounter.

Information is available on their web site http://www.dolphinencounters.com/

You can book direct with them and save some money.

So, if you don't book the Atlantis Excursion through DCL, can you just go there for the day anyway? What do they charge for admittance onto the property w/same amenities as the excursion? And, how do you get there? Cost? Cheaper than DCL excursion?
