I have read some some notes here where people have had stained carpets and dirty or dusty rooms. If this happens can you ask to have your room changed to another room or what if there isn't another room? Anyone have experience with this? Thanks

I havent experienced this at all and I hope I never have to; but if it does happen call the front desk immediately and let them know the situation. Hopefully they will rectify it asap!

1) Call the Housekeeping Manager.
2) They will
. . . dispatch someone to dust/clean (timing not guaranteed)
. . . maybe dispatch someone to clean the carpet (timing not guaranteed)

NOTE: If the carpet is cleaned and the stain does not come out, it is "set" and Housekeeping can't do anything else about it. Also, calling the Front Desk does not help, as they will refer the matter to the Housekeeping Manager.

I would not worry too much. We have stayed a few times per year for many years and have epxerienced most of the resorts.
We have never experienced a dirty room at WDW. Stains on carpets can and will happen in public places and cannto always be removed. there should not be fresh, wet, stains, but some discoloration or staining does happen from previous guests and hotels do not immediately change the room carpets but wait until the next renovation.
All we have ever had was a little wear and tear such as chipped corners, stain on carpet, etc. which just comes from so many using the room and needs to be expected in hotels.
If your room is not clean, just call housekeeping to come up.
