What to do FP+, 6 day tix, 7 day in park

Here is the scoop. We are planning on MVMCP on arrival day, and therefore didnt get a 7 day ticket to save money. I am not going to buy tickets yet however since it will nearly be winter in Nebraska. If forecast shows clear at departure airport and second airport, i will buy and take chances on other delays probably. Our last day we need to depart a park at 11 or 1130 to get on MDE.

Anyway, my understanding is that with a 6 day ticket i can get 6 days of advance FP+ selections.
My options are
1. schedule 3 for party day (arrival day) in the 4 to 7 pm range
2. schedule for depature day and get same day FP only arrival day.

I am leaning towards option 2 due to the fact that crowd levels are likely to be quite low at MK on party day and standby shouldn't be too bad. Also i figure odds we get delayed long enough to miss the party is fairly small.
If we dont get party done arrival day we will either hit another park that day or do other stuff, if we get into a park i will add a park day once we have entered the park.

I think the costs of making a wrong guess here aren't too bad, so don't stress too much. However, I'd probably set FPs for the party day and then when you add the last park day, schedule FPs for that. Even though MK may be "slow", it's always busy at some level and lines are longest in afternoon through early evening - FPs are definitely helpful. And getting a 7 day lead on FP selection is still better than same day.
