Hi,

We are spending one day at IOA and Universal next week during our trip. We have three little girls, ages 6, 4, and 1, and I am not sure how to approach the two parks. I have heard that IOA has more for little kids than Universal, so I am thinking that we do IOA first and then head over to Universal. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas as to what rides/attractions would be best for the girls, it would be SO appreciated. We are not going to go crazy trying to do EVERYTHING in one day, but I would like to at least make sure we hit the main things that the kids would enjoy. I feel unsure about these two parks because I don't know much about them. I find these boards to be very helpful, so I am hoping someone might be able to give me some ideas. Thanks so much in advance....

There are three areas in IOA your kids would probably like: Seuss Landing, Me Ship The Olive and Camp Jurassic. Suess Landing is in the front part of IOA and has several fun rides they would like. Camp Jurassic is located in the back section of the park and is basically a huge treehouse as well as being the location of the Pteranodon Flyers which is a kiddie roller coaster (requires and adult to ride). Me Ship The Olive is located around the corner in Toon Lagoon and has several areas within the ship to play and shoot people with water guns! They could play in these areas for hours.

Then you can head to the Studios and let them play in the Woody Woodpecker Kid's Zone which includes Barney, the Curious George play area, Woody's Nuthouse coaster, Fievel's playground and E.T. There is also The Animal Actors show that is short but really cute. They might even like the Jimmy Neutron Nicktoon Blast attraction which has stationary seating if you think they might get thrown around too much. They will hopefully have a great time at both parks!

We plan to do IOA on our first day. The main reason is because we will stay at a Universal hotel that night and we may want to go back to our room and change clothes after riding the wet rides. A secondary reason is IOA is open until 7pm on our first day and only until 6pm on the 2nd day; Universal is scheduled to close at 7pm on both days.
