Hey all,

So... going on over-all my 3rd trip to DLP, and my first christmas trip! We leave heading for the magic next friday, and I was just after some tips of what to do's !

It's myself, mum and my little sister of 9 - so curious as to what would be good for us all to see! I hear about this Christmas tree lighting ceremony, is this only on one day or a daily thing?

We are thinking on one of the weekend days having our dinner a bit earlier, then heading back to the park till a bit of a later time, just to make the most of it!

Any tips or advice appreciated! :)

Guess what?! I'm going on my 3rd trip to Disney and it will also be my 1st Christmas Trip! Not leaving until Friday 3rd December though.

The Tree Lighting is on once a day, the timetable is online now!! So you can plan your trip a little before you go!

Will your little sister want to meet Santa? If so, he's set up his grotto in Woody's Round Up! :santa: I'm hoping to catch the Winter Wonderland Show, you can find clips of this on YouTube. Also the Showtime Spectacular is really good! There is Fantillusion on in the evening which looks amazing too! :cloud9:

We're hoping to eat in the park on Saturday when it's open till 10pm and then have a go on Phantom Manor in the dark! (If DD stays awake long enough!)

Happy planning! :goodvibes

Do all the Christmas stuff .
We didn't go meet Santa last time (DD was 8) but we did go for a wander through the grotto area at night, oh my its absolutely beautiful in the dark (as is the rest of the park with the tree and castle all lit up too).

Thanks Belle! :)

I'll have to go through the planning with rest of co and see what we want to do, though eating in the park itself on a weekend late night sounds like a good idea! Aswell as phantom manor in the dark, as sister loves this!

I'm guessing we'll be better seeing Santa's grotto on a weekday evening so it's not so busy? Can imagine huge queues for it!

You're there a few days after we leave! :yay:

Looking forward to it SO much

Santa had long since left his meet n greet spot for the day when we went to visit the Grotto area, I think it was around 5.30pm :). Its full dark by around 5pm in late Nov/early December.

The advice I was given was to go to Santa as soon as he opens at 10am as the queues do get pretty long! I'd hate to go towards the end of the day, join the queue, and then have the Grotto close before you got to see him!
