Planning a trip for the first time to Vero during the 4th of July. What activities are at Vero during this time? Can you see fireworks from the beach? Should we switch to WDW instead?

Our family of 4 was at the VB resort on July 4th, 2005. We drove about 10 mins north to the riverfront park in Sebastian where they had a small fair setup. At dark, they did a professional quality fireworks display. Afterwards, we returned to the resort and hung out at the pool and the Greeen Cabin Room until bedtime. It was a simple, fun family evening that we still talk about occasionally.

Cancelled Vero Beach on 4th. Going to Disney, then Vero on 5th. Which park for first tme on the 4th?

Will you be in WDW for the 3rd as well? We did MK on the 3rd, Epcot on the 4th so we got to see both park's fireworks! Of the 2 displays,I liked MK's best, but it was the more crowded park.

This year my family will be in HH for their fireworks!

Yes we will arrive on the 3rd. Just might go to MK that night. What about DHS do they have fireworks on the 4th?

Sorry to hear you changed your plans. We were there this past year & had a blast. At Disney they had a pool party ( which they always do), different events throughout the day. Watermelon eating contest, picnic, etc. But in the evening we went down to Mulligan's for dinner. Great location on the ocean with excellent prices. Right after we drove about 1 mile to park on Merril P Barber Bridge. They have fireworks & music by the bridge. We were able to see fireworks in every direction.
