Hey y'all --
I arrive next Wednesday for Half Marathon weekend. Our best couple friend and their daughter will be arriving on Friday (the mom is running the half as well), and I have some early birthday surprises planned for the daughter! She turns 8 two weeks after our DLR trip, so this is basically like her birthday present.
Since I'll be in the parks all day/night on Thursday, I want to pick up some specific things for them to have in her room when she arrives on Friday.
Balloons are obvious. But after that ... I'm drawing a blank! They're going straight to the parks from the airport (after dropping off luggage) and won't be back to the room until check-in after 3 p.m., so I was going to buy her a pair of sequin ears when we meet up in the parks that morning.
What other fun surprises can I have back in the room? Any great treats? Maybe something "Glow With the Show" - like the wand or ears?
