So I had this idea today... that I wanted to get something from each country at Epcot. I am thinking maybe a drinking glass- does anyone have any other ideas?
We have bought a Mickey Christmas stocking for DS in Canada. Which we love! DH (then DBF) bought me a pair of silver hoops in Italy which I wear all the time.
Left on our WS wish list is an Off-Kilter CD for DH in Canada & a Murano Venetian glass necklace for me from Italy.

Is it something similar you want - magnet, etc. Do they still do Mickey Mouse with the national costumes? Or maybe you want something traditional to each country?
VERY GOOD IDEA!!! Unless they pick something really expensive out- I guess I would have to tell them my limit! ;-) I am getting something in every country, lol.

I'm hoping that there are pins which represent each different country, I want one from each and once home I'm going to frame them in a glass case and hang them on our 'Disney Wall' that's going to be created

LOL!!! Tell me about it. I was in there for about 45 minutes one time trying to choose a couple of ornaments. Then my children came in trying to 'help' me. Which of course made things worse and I ended up kicking them out of the store.
I did the same thing a few years ago. I bought ornaments for my tree but I didn't go directly to the ornaments. I looked for something that represented the country but was not an ornament.
I got a cute but very small train in Germany, one of those little pin cushions with the three dolls on it in China, a small totum pole in Canada, a small Uncle Sam Mickey in America, one of the wooden porcupines in Mexico, those maracha things that the belly dancer clinks together in her hands when she dances in Morocco, and right now I can't remember the rest. They are all packed away.
I figured I wanted something more representative of the country rather than an ornament that probably could be found in other countries.
Japan, I bought a mini decorative sushi plate.
German, they have wonderful beer jars.
China, beautiful masks.
Mexico , lots of beautiful things . There are small "sombreros"
Oh goodness...that means it'll probably be a tough choice then
I think somewhere (or if not I've obviously dreamt it up!) that I read they do the 'Mickey Heads' with the flags from each country on, I was thinking I'd go for these as a set...I figure they'd look lovely all sitting there together
Mexico - Piggy bank
Germany - Tree ornament
Italy - Jewelry
Japan - Pick a pearl, change purse, little bowl, purse
UK - Tea
canada - my goal for this trip!
I always get the kids Pocky snacks and rice candy in Japan. This time, I also picked up a beautiful silk fan (decorative) for my DD 6 also in Japan. They even wrote her name right on the silk in japanese for her at no extra charge. DD6 thinks it is so special!!! It came in a nive silk case inside a box, so it is safe for travel home as well.
