What to buy at the grocery store to keep in hotel room?

I am heading off to the Dolphin tomorrow morning and with our town car service we get a free grocery stop. I definately plan on buying bottled water as we drink a lot of that and it's more expensive at the hotel I'm sure. I'm trying to think of some snacks as well but can only think of granola bars and maybe some crackers. Any other suggestions?

milk and cereal for in room breakfast: if they offer refrigerator, pretzels, peanut butter, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks if you do drink themof course, gold fish, bread.

I don't know what the Dophin has---is there a coffeemaker or fridge? I like half and half in my coffee every morning, and always buy some to keep in the room. Fruit cups are good--they don't even need to be refigerated. Poptarts for the kids. Variety snack packs for the parks (like Goldfish), and single serving nut bags. You can also get those miniature Pringles packs.

There's a shop by the Boardwalk Inn with a lot of grocery items, so if you forget something you can always run over there if needed.

Have fun!

If you've got a refrigerator; milk and orange juice with cereal, bagels or muffins a great, quick, cheap breakfast that should tide you over until lunch. Bread, cold cuts, peanut butter and jelly are nice for sandwiches and snacks. Watch the salty snacks while at the theme parks because you'll drink alot of water and have to use the bathroom too often. It's sort of corny; but fruit is the best snack for kids if they'll actually eat it.

We bought cereal bars, a variety pack of those small cereal boxes (snacked on them w/o milk), pop tarts, bananas, juice boxes for the kids & some beer for us, and bottled water. We had refillable mugs, so we didn't buy any sodas.

Having breakfast in the room and bringing our own bottled water in the park were money savers for us. We also brought some of those small iced tea packs from home that you can mix with bottled water to make instant tea. You can find those near Crystal Light in the supermarket.

My kids think you cannot go on vacation without red licorice, Cheese Wiz and Ritz Crackers. :rotfl:

We had a small fridge in the room, so we got milk, cereal, peanut butter, crackers, cheese, tortilla chips, salsa, wine, and cookies. Great for breakfast and snacks.

We bought a case of water, but used very little of it (I learned the trick of asking for a cup of ice water at CS restaurants - they give it to you for free, even if you haven't bought a meal there!).

Check to see if there's a fridge in your room. If not, pick up a stryofoam cooler. They're cheap and you can just toss it when you leave. Also, don't forget paper plates, plastic spoons, forks, knifes, napkins, etc.
