We are taking our 8 m/o to DL in 3 days  I need some ideas on things to keep her entertained while in her stroller, snacks, toys, etc. She gets bored quite easily! I bought some stroller fans so hopefully that will help keep her cool and comfy, but I need some "new" ideas as she is bored with the normal things I give her and we are spending 4 days there so I don't want her to be cranky :upsidedow

I haven't been to Disneyland with a baby that little, but we travel as much as possible with DS, and started doing so at about 3 months.

So my main advice is to make sure you have a nice comfy baby sling, like a Hotsling, or even a more structured carrier like an Ergo, so that baby can interact with your face and see everything up at head level, rather than being at bottom-level all day. Don't get me wrong, we rented a stroller our first 2 day trips, then brought our own, then rented again, and lastly brought our own again (zoiks!), but my guy always wanted to be up with the action, not down with the butts. Just by having baby on your hip in the Hotsling (I also loved my Mammasmilk slings but got them rather late in our hip-carrying days) baby will get less bored, b/c there's more to see!

And along with that, just with all the stuff there is to see at Disneyland, baby might not even get as bored as she does hanging around your local area. It's just so rich for a little one's eyes. :)

I can't think of anything specific, since I don't know what your baby likes. However, I would definitely bring something familiar, a favorite stuffed toy or teething toy for comfort.

Keep in mind that DL is very stimulating. There are so many sights, sounds and smells that I'm sure your baby is just going to be busy taking it all in. In fact, you may have to be careful not to overstimulate her.

Do you have one of those mesh bags that screw onto a plastic handle? You can stick a piece of food in them, and the baby can chew/suck on it, but only get super small pieces of food/juice. We put apple slices are probably the least messy, although everything is sort of messy. We always used them when we went out to dinner and my kids were very entertained.

thats a really good idea. my son loved those.

other than something like that, i dont think you really need to bring anything to entertain baby. i packed a bunch of my sons favorite toys, but that was just for our road trip. he never used any toys in DL, only the ones we bought him in there. he was 12 months. im pretty sure she'll just enjoy being out-doors all day, and love watching people and being on all the rides:)
