Hi
We are travelling with a 3 and 8 year old and wondering given the time change what time to book Adr for?

We will be at breakfast for 7, so thinking maybe 1130-12 and then 5.

How did your children cope with time change and meal times?

Thank you
Ruth

We have a maximum of one ADR per day. Generally breakfast as soon as the restaurant opens as we want to hit parks at opening. Dinner we book for 6-7pm generally. We eat at 6pm at home so thats what we stick to when away.

DD is 7 now and doesn't have an issue adapting at all - we keep her up on arrival and then just move to a normal routine with a nap in the afternoon if necessary.

The first say we leave fairly flexible, just booked a lunchtime ADR for BOG. Then I would book for between 6 and 7, just like at hone. We have never had much trouble with the time difference and we have been going with DD for 16 years now. We usually adapt quite quickly.

However, I don't book ADRs for every day as we normally eat offsite quite and generally you don't have yo book.

I am going to try and book our meal between 4 - 5pm ( fingers crossed ).

In our experience we have breakfast at 7ish, then we get really hungry at around 10:30 so we plan to have our quick service meal for an early lunch and then we can have an earlier meal in the evening/ late afternoon with snacks later on.

We are going in November 2016 and I have heard that people trying to get adr for this year have really struggled, so When My window opens to book my reservations I am willing to be more flexible.

I am also goin to book CRT and that takes 2 credits so that allows us to eat offsite at some point.

But generally my daughter has never had much of an appetite when we are there so it stresses me out that she isn't eating. Are you on the dining plan?

I think we're the exceptions! We've been going with our DS since he was 5 and he's now 19. We've never had a problem with the time difference nor waking early! We normally have breakfasts around 10am as we're not early risers, usually eat a late lunch about 3pm and make our evening ADR between 8-9pm. It shames me to say it but in over 20 trips we've only made park opening once and that was on a Christmas Day!

Thank you all! Assuming I can get the adr, will try and book one per day a rounds kids normal schedule .
We are there during free dining and finding it difficult to work out which park we will be in so where to book adr( and that's without the advance fass pass thinking)

Hopefully the park hours( and magic hour) will be released before the 180 day mark ??

The hours will be out just before the 180 days but they don't change much from year to year usually so you make a plan based on the previous year :thumbsup2
