Allow yourself an hour and a half to get to your resort. Allow the luggage much longer, possibly 3-6 hours. If you have an event or ADR shortly after landing, bring everything you'll need for the evening in your carryon (good sense, anyway, in case of luggage losses). Allow for checkin time (depends on resort and time of day/year), find-the-room time, freshen-up time, and most importantly, travel time to restaurant/event.
When my family went on Christmas this year, our flight landed at 6pm. We checked into SSR, left our carryon bags with bell svcs (did not go to room), caught a taxi, and were able to make our 9pm ADRs at CG in time to get to the deck and watch Wishes. I DON'T recommend this time schedule! We were extremely rushed, and the cab cost $20 (with generous Christmas tip). Give yourselves about 5 hours to allow for relaxed check-in and freshening up period.
Another DISer was able to make her ADR for 8:15 from the same flight, though. I think her game plan was to avoid check-in altogether and get on the ME bus to CG, but I don't know if that is what she ended up doing. She made it to her ADR from plane landing in 2 hours, 15 minutes. Amazing!
