What time to start walking over from HRH in the mornings?

We are going in 2 weeks -- the parks open at 9am. One day we plan to go to start at Universal Studios so we can get on Rip Ride Rockit. The other day we plan to start at IOA side -- going the hour early so we can get thru WWOHP.

Ideally - when do we want to be at the turnstyles? How long should we allow to walk from HRH? Are there any "better" turnstyles to use (ie - historical shorter lines?) Any other tips would be appreciated!!!

When we left the HRH, we left between 7 and 7:15 to get in line- every day seemed to be different as to what times they started to let guests into the parks. I found it easier to walk than to wait for the water taxis- It's only about a 5-7 min walk- we would go out of the HRH near the pool, rather than the main entrance
