Just booked our first cruise Disney Dream May 13th - May 16th to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. We are planning on spending a couple of days at the parks before the cruise to see the flower festival. Now trying to decide if we should book our flight home the day we disembark or go back and spend another day or two at the parks. If we fly out the day of disembarking what time of day should we plan on scheduling our flight for?

We are going to stay at the Wilderness Lodge Villas prior to our cruise and plan on using the magical express transfer.

We are DVC members and annual passholders so not worried about any additional costs for room or tickets.

DCL recommends flights after 11:30.

One note - Magical Express is the free shuttle service from/to MCO and WDW resorts. Transfers from WDW resorts to the port are via DCL transfers ($35.00 per person). Also from port to MCO/WDW resorts.

Disney has variously recommended nothing before 11:30 and nothing before 12. Only been through MCO once, and all due to issues at MCO we barely made a 12:35 flight. So for me, nothing before 1 pm in the future.

I'd say head back to the resorts. That's what we like to do to extend the vacation. Also, this way you can plan a later flight out the next day if you wish and not have to hang around the airport on departure day.

Thanks everyone we are going to go this route, I hate the thought of sitting in an airport all day when I could have more park time.
