Hi!

What time are you saving your spot for Paint the Night? Either for the 8:50pm show or the 11pm.
I went on May 22nd and the time people were reserving spots was 5 hours before.
I hope that has changed since that was the 24 hour party. I am sure it is still popular.

What time are you saving your spot??

:earsboy:

Prime curbside spots in the hub in on main street will be filled in right after sound stational, so 5pm basically. Then it steady fills in with most curbs full by 6, prime second rows around the same time. It's still crazy, but not 12 hour wait crazy like the premier

Last week we had no problems with finding a spot for the 2nd parade after viewing the F! and the fireworks over by Rivers of America. We walked up and watched in front of the Ice Cream shop on Main St.

So you were not automatically routed through the corridor behind the shops and were able to walk down Main Street? We are hoping to see the second parade after F! and Fireworks and thought IASW area would have more viewing options but I worried about the traffic patterns and the directions we could be routed.

No we were not routed behind the shops. But we came up from New Orleans Square and through Adventure Land since we had been at F! and stayed there to watch Fireworks. They didn't do any traffic directing once we got past POC

Coming from IASW you may well find more issues getting through. We had the misfortune of needing to go from DCA where we'd seen WOC, over to DL to pick up an item over by the Materhorn. It was not an easy trek to work through that side of the park and we were routed in a very round about way, moving in a mass of humanity. We were sent through the cut through behind Main St and in to Tomorrow Land. Luckily all we wanted to do was get back there to pick up the artwork and then hop on the monorail to get back to the resort. It was the only way we could get our item and not have to carry the huge item through the park.

Thanks AngiTN. Very helpful information.

The 11pm show is a better bet, but still no guarantee of a great seat. However, you won't be wasting so much time in the parks. I'll say this: the floats are soooo huge that sitting one or two rows back won't ruin your experience.

We went this past Tuesday night. We grabbed a spot on the overlook from the Main Street Train Depot. We really liked it a lot, we were above everyone and could see everything very well. We got there 1 hour before the parade started. It never did get more than 3 people deep when we were there. We cut out right after the parade finished, so as to beat the crowds leaving after fireworks (which we saw another night). It is a very quick exit point as well! Hope this helps.

can you tell me more about the overlook from Main street depot? do you mean the benches up the stairs?

Was this for the first or second parade?

On Sunday night (6/7) we grabbed a front row spot on the curb near IASW around 6:00 for the first parade. I was hoping to wait until later but spots were already filling up. Within 30 minutes of us sitting down, the area we were in was 3 deep.
