What time to leave DL for DCA/OBB with 4pm dinner reservation?

We will be taking our first trip to DL/DCA next week and have OBB tickets for Tuesday. We will be starting our day in DL and going over to DCA for a 4pm dinner reservation. We have park hopper tickets. What time should we leave DL to enter DCA? Can OBB wrist bands be obtained inside the park? Thanks for any help!

You should leave DL by 3:59.

Well, maybe 3:50, depending on how far into DCA your dinner reservation is. It takes less than a minute to cross the Esplanade from the DL exit to the DCA entrance.

Thank you. Do we need to add time for getting into DCA because of OBB guests going into the park?

There will likely still be some lines for OBB guest to enter DCA, but you will be able to use the main tickets booths since you have a PH day ticket. The only advantage to going through the OBB designated gates to enter DCA is that you will get your wrist band and treat bag right when you enter DCA. If you use the main DCA entrance gates (which will likely have zero line at that time), you will need to walk to near Avenger’s Campus to get your wrist bands and treat bags. So if that is on the way to your dining reservation, you will be all set. If it is not, you can decide if waiting in the OBB-only lines is shorter than walking to/detouring to Avenger’s Campus on your way to dine.
