What time to get to MK on a Saturday if it opens at 9

We're trying to maximize our one day at the MK. We will be driving there and would like to know what time we should plan to arrive in the parking lot to be there when it opens. I have heard that the parks open earlier than what's listed in the brochures sometimes (I'm not referring to early entry days, btw) There are 12 of us and we need every minute possible. Thanks.

i'd be at the entrance by 8:30 at the latest... we always get there 30 mins pre opening and in the off season have never been left in till opening time but at least we are in the front of the line to get in..didn't notice what time of year you are going but Sat and MK may not be a good idea..it was very busy in otherwise dead Jan since locals take the kids on Sat. Fantasy land was chaos by early afternoon ( so much so we left) and especially with 12, another day might be a better choice. if you have a hopper and want to see wishes/spectro i'd either go another day or go to another park and go to MK for wishes/spectro only

We're going February 12th, 2005. Unfortunately, the group wants to spend one day at MK before we leave for DCL on that Sunday (we are arriving in Orlando on Friday evening) So, there is no other day to go. Thanks for the info, though.

oh well, even if it's busy you can still have fun!!! but definetly get there early. if little ones are included i'd do as much of FL as early as I could ( along with any of the mountains ). it was busier than weekdays in general throughout the park but wasn't really sardine-packed chaotic till we hit FL . also have a flexible plan so you don't waste lots of morning time deciding where you want to go and who wants to see what...when we have gone with large group, milling around deciding can waste so much time!

Thanks Jann1033. I'm a constant planner ( a little anal) and I always have an itenerary mapped out. But with 12 of us, I don't want to make anyone play my way. But we all have to drive together so I just wanted to know what time is best to arrive.
