What Time Should I Leave?

Hello Everyone!

I know this questions has been asked a million times probably but I was wondering if you all could help me out?

We are staying at the HOJO and leaving on Sunday, May 10th out of LAX to go back home.

Anyway, our flight is at 1:15pm and we will have to return our rental car (Alamo) and then take the shuttle, etc.

What time should we leave the HOJO? I was thinking about being in the car and actually pulling away at 10:00am, do you think that is plenty of time I will be checking us in on-line the day before and we will not be checking bags.

I think that pulling away at 10 is an excellent idea. I'm not an expert on so cal traffic, but since it's a Sunday, unless there is a HUGE church-going crowd for later services, I can't imagine 10 am is a nastier time than another time on the highways.

On our last family trip we nearly missed our flight b/c we (I) dreadfully underestimated and mis-timed and so on and so forth, we got to the gate 5 minutes before it was supposed to go (thankfully they hadn't even boarded yet), it was dreadful. So giving yourself a solid 3+ hours (without checking bags) makes me happy.
